First exhibition in the completely renovated part of the museumPress conference on anniversary exhibition in Alsfeld

Why not make rejoicing itself the theme of an exhibition?”, Daniel Groth of ConCultura explained the eponymous idea for the anniversary exhibition at the press conference on May 5, 2022. Within the city’s history, there have always been reasons to rejoice. This had been noticed during the inventory of the museum exhibits.

The 76 exhibits of the special exhibition for the city anniversary “800 years – Alsfeld jubelt!” show reasons to cheer. Moreover, it is the first exhibition in the already finished renovated part of the museum, which has been closed for seven years.

The exhibition will start on time for the International Museum Day on May 15, initially with a non-public opening, which will be attended by patron and member of the Bundestag Dr. Helge Braun.

From 1 p.m., the exhibition will be open to the public. The exhibition will be on view until December 31.

It will be open from May 15 to October 31, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. From Nov. 1 through Dec. 30, 2022, the exhibit will be on view Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The accompanying text booklet to the exhibition can be purchased for 3 euros at the reception.
