Exhibition 800 years AlsfeldAnniversary exhibition in the Stadtmuseum Alsfeld will be extended in 2023

The town of Alsfeld celebrated 800 years of town history last year. The GMV took this as an opportunity to design a special exhibition “800 years – Alsfeld rejoices” together with the company ConCultura and set it up in the completely renovated Neurathhaus. Due to the great demand and the restrictions caused by the Corona Pandemic in 2022, the exhibition is to be extended again until autumn 2023.

The basic idea: Why not make the jubilation itself the subject of an exhibition? Because: In the course of the city’s history, there were many reasons for this. The principle: there is always an object in the exhibition for a specific reason to celebrate from Alsfeld’s town history.

Background information on the respective celebration stories can be found in the booklet accompanying the exhibition available in the TCA – or via QR codes – which you can leaf through and read at the respective stations. In this way, in the newly designed rooms of the City Museum in the Neurathhaus be wandered through the history of Alsfeld. There are also one or two stations outside in the city.

The GMV invites all visitors to the exhibition to take a short tour of the historic town to learn more about the town of Alsfeld and its history. Further information can be found on the GMV website at www.museum-alsfeld.de
